RACE 1 – GLEN MIA ACT SADDLERY TROTTERS MOBILE – 1710M

LA LUNE NOIRE – Broke after the start. A warning was issued.

THE PASO DOBLE – Pre-race sample obtained. Broke after the start. A warning was issued.

BERTINELLI – Pre-race sample obtained. Post-race sample obtained.

ONE PINEVALE HILL – Broke gait approaching the 400 metres. A warning was issued.

SHOULD BEABARCA- Checked after the start when LA LUNE NOIRE broke gait.

 

RACE 2 – TOP WATER CARTERS CROOKWELL PACE – 1710M

SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and during the early stages of the home straight.

UNCLE CRAIGO – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and throughout the home straight and, as a result, was not fully tested.

THE COUNTY SHERIFF – Pre-race sample obtained.

SAPPHIRESNDIAMONDS – Raced roughly after the start.

SEE ME NO MORE – Raced roughly rounding the home turn on the final occasion. Post-race sample obtained.

 

RACE 3 – DOM FALK COMMUNICATIONS & SECURITY 2YO PACE – 1710M

BELLA BALL – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and throughout the home straight and, as a result, was not fully tested.

COLDFRONT – Entering the home turn on the first occasion, COLDFRONT shifted wider into a two-wide position at the same time as LOCHINVAR JAZZ, which was racing three wide, shifted down the track. As a result, contact was made between the two runners, resulting in COLDFRONT being checked and racing roughly. Stewards inquired into the incident and took evidence from drivers Ashleigh Delosa (COLDFRONT) and Robert Morris (LOCHINVAR JAZZ). After considering the evidence and reviewing the available footage, Stewards determined that the contact occurred as a result of simultaneous movements by both runners and were not satisfied that either driver was sufficiently responsible for the incident and deemed the matter as reportable.

BE HAPPY LARRY – Approaching the 400 metres, shifted out at the same time as FEROCIOUS LOVER hung in, resulting in contact between the two runners. Stewards inquired into the incident and took evidence from drivers Bailey McDonough (BE HAPPY LARRY) and Joshua Gallagher (FEROCIOUS LOVER). After considering the evidence and reviewing the available footage, Stewards determined that the incident resulted from the simultaneous movements of both runners and were not satisfied that either driver was sufficiently responsible as a result the matter will be reported.

INTIMATE DANGER – Post-race sample obtained.

LOCHINVAR JAZZ – Pre-race sample obtained. Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward. Entering the home turn on the first occasion, shifted in at the same time as COLDFRONT shifted wider, resulting in contact between the two runners. Hung in and raced roughly during the event before giving ground over the concluding stages. The gelding was placed on its last chance to race truly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Reincluded in the mobile barrier draw. 

FEROCIOUS LOVER – Approaching the 400 metres, hung in as BE HAPPY LARRY shifted out, resulting in contact between the two runners. FEROCIOUS LOVER subsequently raced roughly.

 

RACE 4 – MIDDYS ELECTRICAL GOULBURN 3YO PACE – 1710M

ROCKNGROHL DAVE – Pre-race sample obtained.

DOUBLE NEEDS – Post-race sample obtained.

NIGHT AGENT – Broke after the start and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

MERRYWOOD LOU – Over-raced during the event.

TIGERS ON FIRE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 122.4 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver Joshua Gallagher was questioned regarding the performance of TIGERS ON FIRE. Mr Gallagher expressed disappointment with the performance of the gelding but was unable to provide any further explanation. TIGERS ON FIRE was stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and until it completes two satisfactory trials.

TIGER TIM – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 79.7 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver Vaughan Duncan was questioned regarding the performance of TIGER TIM. Mr Duncan expressed disappointment with the performance of the gelding but was unable to provide any further explanation. TIGER TIM was stood down until it completes one satisfactory trial.

 

RACE 5 – FIRST NATIONAL REAL ESTATE PACE – 1710M

I AM RAVISHING – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 26.8 metres.

BELIEVEITOR NOT – Pre-race sample obtained.

RUBATEEKI – Entering the back straight on the final occasion, shifted wider into a three-wide position as DESIGNA LABEL was being shifted into a two-wide position. At this stage DESIGNA LABEL hung out, resulting in the sulky wheels of the two runners becoming locked. RUBATEEKI subsequently raced roughly and was checked and broke gait.

DESIGNA LABEL – Entering the back straight on the final occasion, was shifted wider into a two-wide position as RUBATEEKI improved to its outside into a three-wide position. DESIGNA LABEL then hung out, resulting in the sulky wheels of the two runners becoming locked. Stewards inquired into the incident and took evidence from drivers Zara Fitzpatrick (DESIGNA LABEL) and Joshua Gallagher (RUBATEEKI). After considering the evidence and reviewing the available footage, Stewards were satisfied that the racing manners of DESIGNA LABEL, in particular its tendency to hang out, contributed to the incident. No further action was taken against either driver. DESIGNA LABEL was placed back in the mobile barrier draw. Post-race sample obtained.

ROCKET RALPH – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and during the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 6 – GOULBURN CITY ELECTRICAL PACE – 1710M

GOODTIME MIKI – Post-race sample obtained.

TRIED AND TRUSTED – Pre-race sample obtained.

 

RACE 7 – RSM ACCOUNTANTS GOULBURN PACE – 1710M

TIGER EUPHEME – Pre-race sample obtained.

RUEBE STARBUCK NZ – Driver Sebastian Piltz pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that shortly after the start, after being unsuccessful in challenging TIGER EUPHEME for the lead, he allowed RUEBE STARBUCK NZ to shift in when not sufficiently clear of JAY BEE LOU, causing that runner to be tightened and checked, with contact occurring between the sulkies, after which JAY BEE LOU broke gait. ELLEZIE, which was following, was also checked as a consequence. Driver Sebastian Piltz had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 14 days. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered Mr Piltz’s plea, record in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident.

ELLEZIE – Checked as a consequence of the interference involving RUEBE STARBUCK NZ and JAY BEE LOU after the start.

MACHX THE STRANGER – Checked during the event.

ULTIMATE EQUUS – Checked during the event. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and throughout the home straight and, as a result, was not fully tested.

MAJOR EASTWOOD – Checked during the event. Post-race sample obtained.

JAY BEE LOU – – After the start, was tightened when RUEBE STARBUCK NZ shifted in when insufficiently clear, resulting in contact between the sulkies and JAY BEE LOU being checked and breaking gait. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and throughout the home straight and, as a result, was not fully tested.

 

RACE 8 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1710M

ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Post-race sample obtained.

ETERNAL GOLD – Caught wide during the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.

GREY CADILLAC – Underwent pre- and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. Raced three wide during the middle stages before working forward to obtain the position outside the leader.

BEACHBABE CROCKER – Pre-race sample obtained.

 

RACE 9 – GOULBURN SOLDIERS CLUB PACE – 1710M

General

Prior to the running of Race 9, DRIVE TO THE BEACH underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 races. The examination revealed an irregular heartbeat. Acting on veterinary advice, Stewards ordered the late scratching of DRIVE TO THE BEACH. Trainer Mitch Turnbull was advised that DRIVE TO THE BEACH will require a veterinary clearance, including a satisfactory ECG examination, prior to returning to racing.

 

FAY IRENE – Over-raced and proved difficult to drive throughout the event, hanging out at various stages. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination, which identified concerns regarding the condition of the mare's teeth. The veterinarian recommended that FAY IRENE receive further veterinary attention in relation to its teeth and connections were advised accordingly. Due to the mare's racing manners, FAY IRENE was stood down until it completes one satisfactory trial.

VIN NUMBER – Caught wide during the early stages before working forward to obtain the lead. Post-race sample obtained.

HEAVENLY REASON – Pre-race sample obtained. Caught wide during the early stages before working forward.
