RACE 1 – DOWNBYTHESEASIDE AT WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 2260 metres
Following an incident that occurred when the field negotiated the first turn, the fall siren was activated due to Driver C Formosa being dislodged from the sulky. All horses were examined by the on-course veterinarian and passed fit to start. Driver C Formosa was examined by the on-course paramedics and cleared to fulfill her engagements with the race being rerun.
OCEAN KING – Entering the first turn was tightened before contacting the sulky wheel of FIRESTORM RED and breaking stride.
SHAUN SHANNON – Post-race swab sample.
MAKES YOU WONDER – Driver J Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when entering the first turn he has shifted his runner down the track when insufficiently clear of FIRESTORM RED who was taken down the track before contacting the hindleg of OCEAN KING resulting in Driver C Formosa being dislodged from the sulky. Considering Mr Turnbull’s guilty plea and his record in relation to the rule, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 21 days. This suspension is to commence midnight 9 October 2026.
DUFFY HOLLOW NZ – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up on the second occasion being out of position at the start. Due to the race being rerun, no action was taken. Tended to over race throughout.
RONZEL SONNY – Tended to over race throughout before tiring over the final 300 metres to finish in 10th and last position beaten 57.8 metres. Due to the gelding being stirred up with the race being rerun and over racing contributing to the overall performance no action was taken.
HOLY CAMP DILLON – Pre-race blood sample.
FIRESTORM RED – A pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Entering the first turn was tightened when MAKES YOU WONDER when insufficiently clear, shifted down the track before its sulky was contacted by OCEAN KING and as a result Driver C Formosa was dislodged from the sulky.
RACE 2 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 3YO FILLIES HEAT ROUND 1 – 1730 metres
ARK SEA – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
WHERES MY REASON – The filly was examined by the on-course veterinarian upon arrival to the track and cleared to race.
RACE 3 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT ROUND 1 – 1730 metres
WHERESWALLY – Approaching the 1200 metres was inconvenienced when the pace on the marker line eased.
HEZA VINCENT – Inconvenienced when shifting to a three wide position for a short distance approaching the 1200 metres when FRIZZA was inconvenienced and shifted out.
ENJABONARLO – Post-race swab sample.
TROUBLE IN ME – Approaching the 1200 metres was inconvenienced when the pace on the marker line eased.
AURORA MIGHTY ROB - Approaching the 1200 metres was inconvenienced when the pace on the marker line eased.
COWBOY CULTURE – Approaching the 1200 metres was inconvenienced when FRIZZA shifted out.
BEROCCA BERNIE – Pre-race blood sample.
FRIZZA – Leaving the 1300 metres tended to hang out before being checked when the pace in the running line eased approaching the 1200 metres, shifting out and inconveniencing other runners. The gelding will be given its last chance to race truly.
TOMMY TIME – Raced rough in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Approaching the 1200 metres was checked when the pace in the running line eased.
RACE 4 – LITTLE WYCH PREMIUM SPELLING LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres
STUDLEIGH SUNRISE – Post-race swab sample.
CUT THE RIBBONS – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride shortly after the start. Considering the mare’s recent record, she will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
LUCKY PUNT – Hung out shortly after the start before breaking stride. A warning was issued.
RACE 5 – SUCCESS STUD PROUD BATHURST SPONSORS PACE – 1730 metres
BABLING BABLING – Driver V Duncan was fined $200 under Rule 168(1)(a) in that leaving the 400 metres when shifting his runner to the inside of ROCK ASSET has contacted that runners sulky tyre.
FESTINALENTE – Pre-race blood sample.
ROCK ASSET – Leaving the 400 metres sustained a flat tyre when the inside sulky wheel was contacted by BABLING BABLING.
RACE 6 – HYNASH GROUP CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SPECIALISTS PACE – 1730 metres
CLASSIC BEESMACK – Pre-race blood sample.
BEANCOUNTER – Tended to over race throughout the event. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.
MAGIC MATTEO – Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.
TERRYRAMA - A pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.
SPECIAL SPIN – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – RAGING BULL AT ARTISTIC LODGE 2YO PACE – 1730 metres
IM THE MAJOR – Broke stride in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position. A warning was issued.
REASON TO BE HAPPY – Pre-race blood sample.
COBBITY CADENCE – Hung in after the start before racing roughly for a short distance.
MACHZINE MAHONEY – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 8 – BATHURST RSL CLUB PACE – 1730 metres
AARON MINT – Out of position at the start. The gelding will continue to be placed right outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
MINOR PREMIER – Pre-race blood sample. post-race swab sample.
RACE 9 – BEDWELLS FEED BARN YEP GOT CHOOKS PACE – 1730 metres
LAST FLITE – Pre-race blood sample.
HOOKED ON WINNING NZ – Broke in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. Considering the gelding’s recent record, it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
IM HERE TO PARTY – Post-race swab sample.
RIVERINA FLASH – Prior to all clear being declared, Stewards viewed the available footage and also took evidence from Driver V Duncan to ascertain if RIVERINA FLASH had been afforded a fair start when being out of position at the start. Considering the evidence and viewing the available films, Stewards concluded after HOOKED ON WINNING NZ broke stride in the early stages checking RIVERINA FLASH, the gelding was unable to fill his barrier position prior to the start and acting under Rule 15(t) the gelding was declared a late scratching being denied a fair start. All clear was given on the judges numbers.
RACE 10 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1730 metres
WATCH AND WEEP – Tired over the concluding 400 metres to finish in 10th and last position beaten 47.7 metres.

THE HANDSOME ONE – Pre-race blood sample.
FANCY LIKE BARBIE – Checked between the 400 metres and 300 metres when trailing WATCH AND WEEP who was yielding ground.
BELLAGANOOSH - A pre and post-race veterinary examination as the mare has not raced since July 2025. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Checked between the 400 metres and 300 metres when trailing WATCH AND WEEP who was yielding ground.

RACE 10 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2260 metres
Driver T Higgs (MARABELLE) was found guilty of a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) causing interference in that he has allowed his runner to shift out in the home straight on the final occasion until tightening the running of CAM I AM at the 150 metres making contact to his front legs before CAM I AM FELL with JASPERSTIMETOSHINE being severely checked when making contact to CAM I AM also falling. Considering Mr Higgs not guilty plea, his record in relation to this rule, his licence to drive in races suspended for period of five (5) weeks. This suspension is to commence on midnight the 30th of September 2026.
