RACE 1 – TRUCK AND FLEET MAINTENANCE PACE – 1609 metres

LOYAL LOU NZ – Had a tendency to hang out at various stages of the event, in particular over the concluding stages which allowed inside running for AVENGER NZ coming into the home straight for the run to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A warning was issued.

KAIRAKI DELIGHT NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.

MAJOR BYE – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

PENURIOUS – Held up for clear running over latter stages.

AVENGER NZ – Obtained inside running over the concluding stages. Post-race sample was taken.

CREDULOUS – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 2 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 3YO FILLIES HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1609 metres

SEASIDE DRIVE – Pre-race sample was taken.

OSHLEY – Raced roughly prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

ROCKIN MISS REGINA – Hampered as the field rounded the final turn.

LINE OF COURAGE – Hampered and raced roughly as the field negotiated the final turn.

CAPTAINS DELIGHT – Hampered when trailing OSHLEY rounding the final turn which raced roughly whereas a result was hampered and raced roughly for a short distance. Post-race sample was taken.

PERFECTDELIGHT – Broke stride rounding the final turn. A warning was issued.

CENT FOR PLEASURE – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

 

RACE 3 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

PARADISE POINT – Pre-race sample was taken.

MONTALBANO – Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages. Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages. Trainer/driver G Panella was advised that a warning would be issued and that greater efforts needed to be shown by her to correct her line. Post-race sample was taken.

ROCKTAGONAL – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

SMIRKIN SERENE – Raced roughly rounding the final turn. It was reported that he had trod on a shoe and upon return to stables reported that only he had cast all his plates during the event with only the near fore remaining.

 

RACE 4 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1609 metres

SAN SEBASTIAN – Had a tendency to hang in throughout various stages of the event.

ROCK WITH THE BEST – Pre-race sample was taken.

BETWEEN DECKS – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

TOWERING FORTUNE – When questioned regarding performance driver B McDonough explained to Stewards that it had cast a plate in the early stages of the event and had a tendency to race roughly throughout the event and was somewhat disappointing over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A warning was issued against the performance.

NOCTURNAL – Post-race sample was taken.

GRUMPYSHANNON – Hampered leaving the back straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 5 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

PERFECT STRANGER NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. When questioned regarding the tactics and overall performance driver Z Fitzpatrick explained to stewards that it was the intention to lead in the event as connections were of the view this was its best chance in the event. She further added that when racing down the back straight with I BREAK THE LINE under pressure to its outside ran its third quarter faster than she wanted, however was still disappointed in its efforts over the concluding stages when asked for an effort. Stewards noted her comments.

CYA ART NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

PICCADILLY PETE NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 6 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

BOLERO – Post-race sample was taken.

CONSTANTINA – Pre-race sample was taken.

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

TAFL MOVE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

FRANKIROMAR – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 7 – BARASTOC PACE – 1609 metres

WOOPAA – Had a tendency to pull hard during the score up. Broke stride prior to the field entering the back straight on the final occasion and ultimately was pulled out of the event. Connections were advised that it would be stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

NEVER KNOW BLAZE – Had a tendency to hang in shortly after the start was affected. Hung out at various stages of the event.

UPSTREAM – Examined pre-race by the veterinarian and passed fit to take its place in the event. Post-race sample was taken.

MEDIA MOGUL – Pre-race sample was taken. Hampered racing into the back straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

STEALTH BOMBA NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

DEECEE ROCKIN – Pre-race sample was taken.

ROCKSIE ROCK – Had a tendency to hang in entering the first turn and broke stride. A warning was issued.

WESTERN ACTION – Hampered as it negotiated the first turn.
