RACE 1 – WEST TIGERS EMPOWER LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

LA FAMILIA NZ – Trainer Jason Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(2) for failing to lodge gear notification for the mare. Broke stride during the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

BEV THE GOAT NZ – Stewards questioned Driver Chris Geary regarding the performance of the mare which gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in ninth place beaten 41 metres. Mr Geary advised stewards the mare never travelled during the event after being quite revved up in the pre-race preliminary. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

MIKI MOO – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced approaching the 400 metres behind the tiring BEV THE GOAT NZ.

SNAP SHOT NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

FARFALLA STRIDE – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1000 metres.

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

ULTIMATE EMPIRE – Over-raced during the early and middle stages before being retired from the event approaching the 800 metres as a result of choking down inconveniencing VINTAGE ADDITION and MCWIZARD. The post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one re-qualifying trial.

VINTAGE EDITION – Inconvenienced by ULTIMATE EMPIRE when that runner gave ground sharply approaching the 800 metres.

FOREVER ONTHE PUNT – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride. Post-race swab sample.

ROCKNROLL COWBOY – Broke stride free of interference passing the 400 metres, checking THE CID, TIGER PRINCE and inconveniencing FOREVER ONTHE PUNT, FASTING and VINCENZO.

MCWIZARD – Inconvenienced approaching the 800 metres when ULTIMATE EMPIRE gave ground sharply. Checked approaching the 400 metres when MAJOR ART NZ raced roughly and broke stride.

MAJOR ART NZ – Hung out and raced roughly at the 400 metres before breaking stride, checking MCWIZARD. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

THE CID – Improved three wide from the 1800 metres until obtaining a position outside the leader passing the 300 metres. Checked passing the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

TIGER PRINCE – Checked passing the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

FASTING – Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

VINCENZO – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

RACE 3 – CLUB MENANGLE WARATAH FINAL – 1609 metres

KARAOKE KING – Pre-race blood sample. Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

ROCK THE NATION NZ – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RUNKLE – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Declan Murphy pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the gelding in the early stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Murphy, he was fined $200. Post-race swab sample.

ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.

RACE 4 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres

NUGGET ROGERS – Pre-race blood sample.

WICKARD WIZARD – Post-race swab sample.

IDEAL TIMING – Pre-race blood sample.

CAPTAIN BART – Held up over the final 50 metres of the event.

RACE 5 – PRYDE’S EASIFEED PACE – 1609 metres

CASSIUS DECK – Pre-race blood sample.

KANENA PROVLIMA – An Inquiry into the whip use displayed by driver KerryAnn Morris was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

JAY OK – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

HUTA NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride during the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

RIPP – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 6 – CLUB MENANGLE A D TURNBULL FFA (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2300 metres

CAPTAINS MISTRESS NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

KINGMAN NZ – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

HI MANAMEISJEFF NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

WAMBOYNEINAMERICA – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $200 under Rule 210 for the late notification of Declan Murphy as the driver of the gelding.

VITE MONET – Hung in between the 600 metres and the 400 metres.

RACE 7 – IRONVITA PACE – 1609 metres

ROCKNROLL HAMMER NZ – Over raced behind the leader.

ERUPT STRIDE NZ – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $200 under Rule 210 for the late notification of Declan Murphy as the driver of the horse. Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the horse had competed the previous night at Newcastle. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Held up in the early stage of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

I GOT CHILLS NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

BAXTER RED – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

GOLLY GEE FELLAS – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 8 – STRONGHOLD FACILITY SERVICES PASE – 1609 metres

TUKAHA – Inconvenienced passing the 50 metres when MICK DANGER shifted in under pressure.

MICK DANGER – Pre-race blood sample. Shifted in under pressure and inconvenienced TUKAHA passing the 50 metres.

HES A MEISTER NZ – Post-race swab sample.

WITHDISTINCTION – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.

CREDULOUS – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the mare competed the previous night at Newcastle. The examination has failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
