RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2030 metres

KING HIT NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

STITCHED UP DAN – Pre-race blood sample was taken. Post-race swab sample was taken.

HEEZ REASONABLE – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Driver G Andrews could not offer any suitable explanation for the performance. Connections were advised it would be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 2 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

KRUSTY KRUNCH – Post-race swab sample was taken.

MISTER BRILLANTE – Pre-race blood sample was taken.

TAFL MOVE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 3 – PFD FOOD SERVICE PACE – 1609 metres

ROCKNROLL TONY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

DOUBLE LINES – Pre-race blood sample was taken. Post-race swab sample was taken.

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 4 – SLICK CHICKS PACE – 2030 metres

LOCHINVAR JAG – Post-race swab sample was taken.

MAJOR BYE – Pre-race blood sample was taken.

 

RACE 5 – JOHN HUNTER CHILDREN HOSPITAL KIDS CLUB PACE – 1609 metres

COOINDALAI – Examined pre-race by the veterinarian and passed fit to take its place in the event.

NEVER KNOW BLAZE – Post-race swab sample was taken.

DOUBLE SAID – Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

BARRYS ROSE – Unable to maintain its lead position in the early stages of the event. Hampered shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish and raced roughly for a short distance. Hung in whilst under pressure over the final 50 metres.

RACING WRITER – Pre-race blood sample was taken.

 

RACE 6 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

GENERAL – Stewards gave consideration to a protest lodged by driver J Gallagher (RESERVE BANK NZ) second past the post against KEAYANG HARLOW (B Hughes) first past the post alleging interference over the final 150 metres. On review and taking evidence from all relevant parties, Stewards determined that from a point RESERVE BANK NZ had established running to the outside of KEAYANG HARLOW to which that runner continued to shift up the track over the concluding stages to the detriment of RESERVE BANK NZ. As such Stewards formed the view that if this interference had not occurred RESERVE BANK NZ would have finished in advance of KEAYANG HARLOW and the protest was upheld. All clear was given on the amended numbers.

THRIPENNY – Examined pre-race and passed fit to take its place in the event.

KEAYANG HARLOW – Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages and hampered the running of RESERVE BANK NZ. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Post-race swab sample was taken.

RESERVE BANK NZ – Pre-race blood sample was taken. Hampered over the final 150 metres. Post-race swab sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – HUNTER SIGNS 3YO PACE – 2030 metres

LINE OF COURAGE – Pre-race blood sample was taken. Attempted to race roughly as the field negotiated the final turn.

MODERN MISCIEF – Post-race swab sample was taken.

BEEJAYS BLING – Upon request was approved to be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.
