RACE 1 – GOLDEN GUITAR PACEWAY TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

SOFT LANDING – Post-race swab sample.

HEAVEN FAST – When questioned in relation to the performance, driver B Elder explained that after being checked rounding the turn after the start, the gelding travelled relatively well, however when placed under pressure inside the 800 metres was unresponsive and ran to the finish in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. Connections were advised that prior to racing again HEAVEN FAST must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

BENJIMAGEE – Broke stride when being restrained rounding the turn after the start and galloped for a short distance. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

SUPERIOR ART – Pre-race blood sample. Hampered and had to be shifted wider rounding the turn after the start when attempting to avoid BENJIMAGEE and HEAVEN FAST.

RIPPIN AN TWISTIN – Could not be driven into position at the start, then broke stride and galloped for some distance prior to rounding the first turn. Connections were advised that the gelding would continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Broke stride free of any external factors again during the event. Connections were further advised that prior to racing again RIPPIN AN TWISTIN would be required to perform tractably in an official qualifying trial.

 

RACE 2 – BELL PARTNERS TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

EBBONY STORM – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

BARRYS BROTHER – Shifted slightly wider under pressure over the concluding stages. Post-race swab sample.

WHISKEY ROYALE – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 3 – SIXT CAR & TRUCK RENTAL TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

ADRENALINE RUSH – Pre-race blood sample. Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

TABRA – Hung out during the score up and could not be driven into position at the start. Trainer driver Miss C McElhinney was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

LOOKAT MEE – post-race swab sample.

TRALEE MAXIE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.

REIGN MAKER – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

 

RACE 4 – NEW ENGLAND EQUINE VET SERVICES PACE – 1980 metres

THUNDAMENTAL – pre-race blood sample.

DE LA RENTA NZ – Post-race swab sample.

AGENT CALLAN – Weakened noticeably inside the 500 metres despite the efforts of its driver. When questioned in relation to the performance trainer/driver Mr D Chappell expressed disappointment with the gelding and said that it would leave his stable.

LOCHINVAR JEWELLS – Had to be steadied for some distance inside the 500 metres when racing behind the weakening AGENT CALLAN, then raced in restricted room for some distance approaching the home turn.

 

RACE 5 – PORTABLE HORSE STABLES TAMWORTH 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

SHESTERKIN – Pulled hard during the middle stages.

BETTORBYTHESEA – pre-race blood sample.

CEEJAY HAICH – Weakened noticeably inside the 600 metres and was distanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had experienced cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer driver Miss J Coney was advised that a stand down period of 14 days would be applied and prior to racing again, CEEJAY HAICH must undergo a veterinary examination inclusive of an ECG to determine its fitness, then perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

ULTIMATE ALL STAR – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 1609 metres

COOGEE – pre-race blood sample.

JACKS FYRE – post-race swab sample.

MY ROCK MOVES – Shortly after entering the home straight hung in and contacted the sulky of JUS BLING IT, which shifted out marginally despite the efforts of its driver. As a result of this MY ROCK MOVES had to be checked and broke stride and galloped.

IM BELIEBER – Hampered and had to be shifted wider inside the 100 metres when attempting to avoid MY ROCK MOVES.

 

RACE 7 – SAUERS GLASS TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

LEAVE IT TO LUCY – Post-race swab sample.

SIGNIFICANT LAZ – Pre-race blood sample.

THE IRISH EAGLE – Unable to obtain clear running at any stage in the home straight and went to the finish without being tested.

 

RACE 8 – MULTIQUIP COMMERCIAL HATCHERY PACE – 1980 metres

ESCALERA NZ – pre-race blood sample.

HE SAID SHE SAID – Passed required pre-race veterinary examination. Pulled hard during the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

RACING PAULA – Post-race swab sample.

ULTIMATE DIVA – Hung out and raced ungenerously passing the 1200 metres, then broke stride free of any external factors approaching the 500 metres when improving. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

 

RACE 9 – RACING AND SPORTS ENHANCED FORM PACE – 1980 metres

JAYJAYBENNY – post-race swab sample.

VINCENTIUS MAXIMUS – pre-race blood sample.

METALLICA MAN – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
