RACE 1 – ULE HOOF OIL PACE – 1609 metres

VAN BASTEN – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

ULTIMATE CRUZA – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

HES A MEISTER NZ – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

BUZZ BOMB – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced when locking wheels with I GOT CHILLS NZ between the 350 metres and the 200 metres when that runner was shifted up the track.

ARGGGHHH – Post-race swab sample.

QUIET STORM – Pre-race blood sample.

I GOT CHILLS NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres. Shifted out rounding the final turn and upon entry to the hoe straight locking wheels with BUZZ BOMB between the 350 metres and the 200 metres. Driver Jason Grimson was advised by Stewards to exercise greater care to ensure his runner maintains a straight line rounding the final turn and into the home straight. Stewards questioned Driver Jason Grimson with regards to the tactics he adopted in the early stages of the event, in particular his decision passing the 1200 metres not to restrain and take cover from BUZZ BOMB rather than continue to urge his runner forward until obtaining the position passing the 1100 metres, in addition to the overall performance of the gelding which weakened over the concluding stages to finish in 7^th placing beaten 5 metres. Mr Grimson advised Stewards in his opinion the form of his runner warranted it being driven forward and perform as the market had expected and he felt in the early stages despite being wide he was under no pressure to allow his runner to continue to roll forward. Mr Grimson further advised in his opinion the gelding dropped the bit when racing in the lead and it continues to race below its best. Mr Grimson further added consideration would be given to driving the gelding with cover where the circumstances and form of other runners dictate. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Grimson, Stewards determined to note his comments.

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

TOMAHAWK BART – Pre-race blood sample.

FOREVER ONTHE PUNT – Hung in under pressure. Post-race swab sample.

WICKED WIZARD – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1500 metres.

CAPTAIN BART – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – LLOWALONG FARMS PACE – 1609 metres

VINCENZO – Inconvenienced approaching the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

MAURLEN BOY – Checked approaching the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

TIGER PRINCE – Pre-race blood sample.

MAC BON – Checked approaching the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

KEAYANG VIPER – Post-race swab sample.

MCWIZARD - Inconvenienced approaching the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

ROCKNROLL COWBOY – Broke stride passing the 400 metres checking KEAYANG VIPER, MAC BON, OHOKA COBRA NZ and MAURLEN BOY and further inconveniencing STARTIN TO GOGH, VINCENZO and MCWIZARD. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

OHOKA COBRA NZ – Checked approaching the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

STARTIN TO GOGH – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when ROCKNROLL COWBOY broke stride.

RACE 4 – BE GOOD JOHNNY FFA – 1609 metres

SERG BLANCO NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

KANENA PROVLIMA – Stewards questioned Driver KerryAnn Morris with regards to the performance of the gelding which gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in 9^th placing beaten 61 metres. Mrs Morris advised Stewards she had looked to obtain cover in the early stages of the event however had been caught racing outside the leader and in her opinion the gelding was unsuited in this position in such a fast run race. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mrs Morris, Stewards determined to note her comments.

DESSIE GEE – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride during the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event. After considering the recent performances of the gelding, a warning was issued.

DANGEROUS – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE FRITH STAKES (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

IDEAL MOTH – Pre-race blood sample.

SNAP SHOT NZ – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

WICKED CONFESSION – Pre-race blood sample.

MISSAUDACIOUS – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

GOLLY GEE FELLAS – Post-race swab sample.

GUNNA RELOAD – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.

RACE 6 – YABBY DAM FARMS 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

VERBICI – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

CHIEF KENNY – Post-race swab sample.

ORLANDO VEYRON – Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

LUXALICIOUS – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

KEAYANG MARCUS – Broke stride free of interference passing the 1100 metres. Raced roughly and broke stride approaching the 400 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

PONT DES ARTS – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 7 – YABBY DAMS 2YO FILLIES FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

KEAYANG ZABRINA – Raced roughly passing the 1100 metres. Checked and raced roughly passing the 400 metres when JILLIBY CONNECTION broke stride. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly revealed a laceration to the tendon sheath on the offside foreleg. Acting upon the recommendations of the veterinary surgeon, the filly was stood down until the production of a veterinary certificate of clearance.

LALI – Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when JILLIBY CONNCETION broke stride.

LOVE THAT BIRD – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the filly, was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Broke stride free of interference passing the 1100 metres. After considering the recent record of the filly, a warning was issued.

THE FIERY DUCHESS – Broke stride free of interference passing the 1000 metres. After considering the recent record of the filly, a warning was issued.

JILLIBY CONNECTION – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride free of interference passing the 400 metres checking KEAYANG ZABRINA causing that runner to race roughly. After considering the recent record of the filly, a warning was issued.

ARETE VIRTUE – Post-race swab sample.

IN THE NORTY CORNER – The pre-race blood sample was unable to be obtained due to the filly being fractious. Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the filly, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Broke stride free of interference in the home straight. After considering the recent record of the filly, a warning was issued.

RACE 8 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

G O A T USA – A post-race veterinary examination of the horse failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

ALMIGHTY FEAR NZ – Broke stride free of interference passing the 500 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

SOUTHERN DIAMOND NZ – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

CORMORAN STRIKE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Placed in restricted room passing the 400 metres when TORO STRIDE NZ shifted down the track after ALMIGHTY FEAR NZ broke stride causing CORMORAN STRIKE NZ to contact the sulky wheel of ALMIGHTY FEAR NZ, be checked and race roughly. Post-race swab sample.

TORO STRIDE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Jason Grimson was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that approaching the 400 metres he permitted his runner to shift down the track when not sufficiently clear of CORMORAN STRIKE NZ placing that runner in restricted room and causing it to contact his near side sulky wheel and be checked and race roughly.

RACE 5 – PRYDE’S EADIFEED PACE – 1609 METRES

KANENA PROVLIMA – Driver Kerryann Morris pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that she applied the whip to the gelding in the middle stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mrs Morris, she was fined $200.
