Stewards will interview N Hurst at a date to be fixed regarding CALL ME BILLY. N Hurst was interviewed at Dubbo on the 26th of October, he said that CALL ME BILLY had pleased the stable in its work during the week, it had completed fast work with TULHURST BARRACUDA and had recovered well from that work with a normal heart rate following it. He added that the gelding travelled well until near the 600 metres, where it was under pressure, which he felt was unusual, but it didn’t get beaten all that far so wasn’t overly concerned until it stumbled and fell upon pulling up following the race. He further added that he had not noticed any abnormal breathing noises during the race or anything else that concerned him during it. N Hurst added that the gelding had not been subject to any treatments and there had been nothing unusual in their travel to the races or the gelding’s behaviour prior to its race.
