RACE 1 – YIRRIBEE PACING STUD APPRECIATION PACE – 1740 metres

BUBBLESONTHEBEACH – Contacted the barrier arm in the latter stages of the score up and galloped out as the start was effected for which a warning was issued. Hung out at various stages throughout the event. Connections were advised the mare would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Driver Todd Prest was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that leaving the 400 metres he has allowed his mare to shift out while it was hanging which resulted in HES A TERROR being tightened for room, being checked and raced roughly. In assessing the matter, Stewards were mindful of the racing manners of the mare.

He added shortly after commencing his move, MIKI LOCH broke gait and SEASIDE SID was able to take its position in the running line leaving him facing the breeze outside the leader. He further added that didn’t suit the gelding over the longer distance of tonight’s race.

Hung in and contacted marker pegs rounding the home turn. Given the circumstances and the filly having its first race start, connections were advised it would be required to perform a requalifying trial.
